A South Carroll Club dedicated to theatre excellence.
This year at the Cappies of Baltimore 2017 Gala, the Set Design and Construction team of Andrew John, Leigh DiMisa, and Isie Acuña won the Set Award for their design of The Secret Garden set earlier in the 2017 Cappies Season. They were competing against tech crews from 22 other schools in the Baltimore region.
Other South Carroll Nominees included South Carroll’s Critic Team (Haven Snively, Katie Hopwood, Rachel Schneider, Natasha Acuña, Grace Lawell, Sophie Stromberg, Emily Tanis, Quinlan Stafford, and Jack Merson); Natasha Acuna for Junior Critic; Romeo Cardenas and Zach Miller for Sound; Katie Hopwood and Natasha Acuña for Stage Management and Crew; Ayden Behn, Jack Dillon, and Melissa Dorsey, Grace Lawell, Gwen Lillycrop, and Lorin Loftus as the Servants for Ensemble in a Play; Jack Merson for Featured Actor in a Play; Kristy Brown for Featured Actress in a Play; Zach Federici for Supporting Actor in a Play; Gwen Lillycrop for Supporting Actress in a Play; Chase Cote for lead Actor in a Play; and Haven Snively for Lead Actress in a Play.
Rachel Schneider presented the award for Special Effects and Technology.
Four students were also recognized as Commendees for going above and beyond in their work and dedication to the show: Lorin Loftus, Julie LaFond, Leigh DiMisa, and Elizabeth Gabel.
South Carroll congratulates all of these phenomenal students and commends them on a successful 2017 Season.
